The Term 4, 2025 cricket season was a short but highly successful and action-packed one. Our teams played against several top schools, and it was wonderful to see continuous improvement in skills and teamwork across all age groups.
One of the most encouraging trends this season has been the growing number of girls joining cricket, inspired by the success of the South African Women’s Cricket Team. Their enthusiasm and dedication have added a new and exciting dimension to our school’s cricket culture.
Throughout the term, our players faced strong opponents from schools such as Trinity Randpark Ridge, Trinity Little Falls, Randpark Ridge, Cliffview, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Randpark, and Knights. Each match provided valuable experience, and our learners displayed commendable sportsmanship, teamwork, and pride in representing our school.
It is truly rewarding to see cricket developing into a serious and much-loved sport within our school community. Congratulations to all our players and coaches on a memorable and successful season!

Risidale Primary School Cricket: Growing a Legacy One Ball at a Time
At Risidale Primary School, cricket is more than just a sport—it’s a journey of growth, teamwork, and determination. While our cricketing standard is still developing, we are proud of the steady progress our young players are making both on and off the field.
Over the past few seasons, our dedicated learners have shown remarkable enthusiasm and commitment, embracing the values of discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship that lie at the heart of cricket. With every practice session and match played, our teams are gaining confidence, sharpening their skills, and building a love for the game that goes far beyond the scoreboard.
We are fortunate to have a passionate coaching team and supportive parents who share our vision—to see Risidale Primary become a school known not only for participation but for excellence in cricket. Our dream is to nurture players who carry the Risidale spirit with pride, who compete with integrity, and who one day might represent their clubs, provinces, or even their country.
As we continue to grow, we remain focused on creating opportunities for our players to learn, to compete, and most importantly, to enjoy the beautiful game.
