Valentine's Day at Risidale – A Celebration of Love and Joy
On Friday, 14 February 2025, Risidale was filled with colour and cheer as learners and teachers came dressed in outfits and accessories reflecting the spirit of Valentine’s Day — with a special twist allowing boys to wear blue!
The atmosphere was lively and joyful, with smiles all around. Learners had the opportunity to purchase thoughtful gifts for their moms, dads, and those they admire, spreading love in small but meaningful ways.
Teachers were also treated to a sweet surprise — a cupcake topped with a heart, adding to the festive spirit of the day. It was a heart warming celebration enjoyed by all, marking another memorable Valentine’s Day at Risidale.
Annual Funwalk 2025: A Day filled with Laughter and Community Spirit
Our Annual Funwalk, held on Saturday 1 March 2025, turned out to be a highlight on the school calendar, bringing together learners, parents, and staff for an enjoyable morning!
This year’s event learners took on a 20-lap obstacle course which included a variety of fun elements - one of which had them hopping through tyres, and the other of course being the infamous mud bath! A special moment of recognition was reserved for the top two girls and top two boys in each class. These standout participants received a well-earned treat and a certificate to mark their achievement, and their names were proudly announced at the announcer's table to enthusiastic applause.
Parents showed their support in full force, enjoying the opportunity to connect with one another with delicious food and refreshments which added to the festive, family-friendly atmosphere.

VR Education Visits Risidale
On Monday and Tuesday, 24 and 25 March 2025, VR Education visited Risidale to give our learners their very first taste of virtual reality in an educational setting!
Each learner was taken on an immersive journey using 180- and 360-degree virtual reality technology, diving deep into the ocean to explore a whole new world. They observed a variety of fascinating fish species and experienced the thrill of swimming alongside a whale and a jellyfish. The adventure continued as learners discovered a mysterious shipwreck on the ocean floor and encountered a diver too. One of the most unforgettable moments came when they found themselves inside a shark cage. After witnessing enormous sharks glide past, a cheeky, orange octopus appeared and, using its tentacles, removed one side of the cage — a thrilling and terrifying moment that had hearts racing!
Our learners were absolutely captivated by the experience, and many wanted to do it all over again.
