Behind every lesson, every breakthrough, and every smile in the classroom is a teacher who makes it all possible.
A Teacher’s Poem
They guide with patience, teach with grace,
And light the world, a brighter place.
With gentle hands, they plant the seeds,
Of kindness, hope, and noble deeds.
Through every challenge, every test,
A teacher gives their very best.
Forever shaping, year by year,
The lives of those they hold so dear.
In this edition, we would like to introduce you to two of our dedicated teachers whose passion for their students shines both inside and outside the classroom.
Mrs BG Ismail – New Gr4 Maths teacher
Introduction (Who I Am):
Hello, my name is Mrs. BG Ismail, and I am proud to be part of the Risidale Primary School family. I am passionate about teaching, inspiring young minds, and helping learners discover their full potential.
My Journey in Education:
I began my teaching career in January 2019, and since then I have grown both as a teacher and as a mentor. Over the years, I have worked with many learners, guiding them through challenges and celebrating their successes.
My Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that every child has the ability to learn and succeed. My goal is to create a classroom where learners feel safe, encouraged, and motivated to do their best. I enjoy using creative methods to make lessons fun, engaging, and meaningful.
My Interests:
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy traveling, cooking and spending time with family. These hobbies keep me balanced and energized, which helps me bring positivity into the classroom every day.
Being a teacher is not just a job—it’s a calling. I look forward to continuing to inspire my learners and making a difference in their lives.

Grade 3 Teacher Mrs R Ismail
My name is Mrs R Ismail, I am a grade 3 teacher and I was appointed as Foundation Phase DH from December 2024 at Risidale Primary School.
Previously, I taught at Crosby Academic Primary School for 17 years in the Foundation Phase. I have helped learners build strong skills in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics and Life Skills. I was also the SBST coordinator at my previous school.
I have an Honours degree in inclusive education.
I believe that every child can succeed if they are given encouragement and meaningful opportunities. Our staff and learners here are always welcoming and create an atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to grow and succeed. Our caring school community is like a second home to me!
